Everyday I strive to be a good person.
I help out when I can.
I try to take tasks that no one wants to do, because it'd be appreciated when it's taken care of.
I am okay being the silly person in the group being laughed at too.
But at least on my birthday, please let me be selfish.
Just this one time.
Please don't hate on me.
Please don't point my flaws out.
Please just like me for who I am.
If you can, I'd like you to do one thing.
Be nice to everyone around you for me.
I do my share of kindness to others 364 days a year.
Please give me one day to be selfish.
And if you are so kind enough to give me a birthday present,
please give kindness to others.
It could be smiling at a stranger, or helping doing chores, or running errands; anything.
Please be nice to the people around you.
And hopefully they can pass the kindness on.
That is all I ask for my birthday, for you to be nice to someone else for me.

Why I Draw
Life has definitely been different this year. I've been interested in lots of different things
(working out, drawing, reading, etc.). Out of all of those, the one I like the most
(yet find ways to procrastinate on it OTL) is drawing.
After I came back from Japan, I haven't drawn for about a month.
I realized that my reason for procrastination is a combination of
"I'm scared of not being successful" and "I'm scared of BEING successful."
(and hint of depression here and there, but that's for another day)

I do my best to be that kind of person everday, too - it can be hard to do, but when you do you become a person that you're proud to look at in the mirror each day! 
You are awesome and will keep being awesome, but be sure to give yourself room to be human too okay? You can have bad days or lazy days or grumpy days and that's ok!! (it's not selfish) And anyone who doesn't like you or who points out your flaws is just using you as a mirror to their own insecurity. That's something I've learned although it doesn't make comments like that sting less.
Keep on keeping on - and I hope you had a WONDERFUL birthday!!!!!
