Inspirational Quote 001

Oh. My. Gosh. I have finally done it. After 3 years of making this piece, I have finally made it into the art piece I truly wanted to.
(And now, I think I will start making these inspirational quotes with my art pieces and photography, because this re-inspires me as well!)

"We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand." -Randy Pausch

He, is one of the most inspirational people I know. He died a few years ago, but I watched his lecture called the "Last Lecture" a few times now, and this was one of my top favorite quotes from him. (There are others, and I plan on making something like this for each one when I take a good, well fit photo or make an art piece like this that is fitting).

I made the original art piece with the intention of adding the quote on the piece, I really did. And if finally came true. I am SO happy about this

It's a good life lesson. If, say, something bad happen, like you lost something important, like your cell phone (which are the cards that're dealt). But that:
Makes you realize you have to put it back in the same place every time so you won't lose it.
Shows you how you have to take better care of it.
Helps you realize that your phone is actually really important.
etc. etc.

So instead of thinking "Oh shoot I lost it i'm gonna die oh my why is the world turning on me like this?!?!!", you can play the hand by thinking, "Man, if I put it back where I should have, I wouldn't have lost it. From now on, if I find it, I'm going to make sure to take extra good care of it!". And hey, when you think positively, that's when good things happen, and in this case, find your phone.

It's the matter of how you think about everything, aka perspective. If you have time to worry and make a big deal out of it, deal with the problem by learning from it. Trust me, you're better off if you can do that then complain about it, because that's not going to get you anywhere.
